Happy New Year!

We wish you a Happy New Year! 2008 is almost here, and we hope to see you @ the library for all the exciting, fun programs we are planning for the new year. Don't forget that the library will be closing at 6:00 p.m. on December 31st, will be closed on January 1st, and will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on January 2nd. Have a safe holiday and we'll see you soon @ the library!

Club Anime Update 12/27/07


Since I have received only a few completed trivia entries, the deadline will be extended. The Club Anime trivia # 3 will end on January 15, 2008. Please turn in your forms before the new deadline. Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 10, 2008.

Writing Contest Winners!

The John's Island Regional Library is proud to announce the winners of the Writing Contest for Island High School Students held as part of The Charleston County Big Read. Students wrote papers on Independence vs. Love Relationships in Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. All winners are students at St. John's High School.

First Place: Shekinah Robinson
Second Place: Keyla Sadler
Third Place: Candis Brown
