Are You Ready to Go Back to School?

Are you ready for another school year? Be sure you're ready to get the most out of your library. Do you have a library card? If not, come by the library and sign up for one today! All Charleston County residents qualify for a free library card. If you've had a library card in the past at any of the Charleston County Public Library branches and you can't find your card now, you'll want to get a replacement card. Replacement cards are just $1.00 and our new library cards are really two cards in one! Each new library card has a small card for your keychain and a regular wallet-sized card. Two for the price of one! What a deal!

Teens, remember we'll need some form of identification from you before issuing a replacement card. Come by the circulation or reference desks to learn more about new and replacement library cards or call (843) 559-1945.

First time teen Internet users: Don't forget that if you're under 18 you'll need a parent or guardian's signature on our Internet Acceptable Use Agreement form before you will be able to use our Internet computers. Forms are available at all library service desks.

Got homework? Get help--ask a librarian!

iReview by Ren

Operation Red Jericho by Joshua Mowll
"This book is about two kids Douglas and Rebecca MacKenzie. Their parents are missing possibly dead and they get sent to live with their uncle on a ship. They then get tangled up in a secret operation."
iReview by Ren, 7th grade

iReview by Heyward

A Gathering of Old Men by Ernest Gaines
"This is a very intertain book. It takes you back into a world filled with racism and prejudust. Also it is quite interesting trying to decide who is telling the truth of the murder because each chapter is written from a different character's viewpoint."
iReview by Heyward, 11th grade at First Baptist Church School
