Craig Gilner thinks he knows what he wants--entry into Manhattan's Executive Pre-Professional High School. After studying nonstop, he's accepted only to learn he's not as smart as he thinks he is. Feeling the pressure to excel at school (and thus life), Craig spirals down into depression and plans to commit suicide. But after his suicidal episode, Craig finds himself in a mental hospital with an assortment of teen and adult patients who have their own problems.
