It's a special week sponsored by the American Library Association just for teens and celebrating technology! With this year's theme of "Tune In @ your library," it's a musical celebration as well! Here's what's happening at the John's Island Regional Library during Teen Tech Week 2008:
Monday, March 3: Game On and Tune In! Two sessions, 3:30-4:30 & 4:30-5:30 p.m.
It's Game On! with a musical twist. Space is limited and you must have a library card with Internet access. This program will not count against your two sessions on a computer per day.
Tuesday, March 4: Music Mania, 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Think you know music? Prove it! Test your music knowledge by playing Music Jeopardy! and Name That Tune.
Wednesday, March 5: Tune In to Dreamgirls, 4-6:30 p.m.
Join us for a movie filled with great tunes and big stars. Dreamgirls stars Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, and Eddie Murphy. Rated PG-13, 131 minutes.
Friday, March 7: Tune In to the Web, 4-5:00 p.m.
Come to the computer lab to discuss the best sites for music and lyrics on the Internet. Learn how to best print out lyrics, too. Space is limited; registration begins 2/25 at the Reference Desk. You'll need a library card with Internet access, but this program will not count against your two computer sessions per day.
